The starting pay for a Care Professional at Otter Homecare is £15.25 per hour, from day one.
No previous care experience is required — just compassion, reliability, and a desire to help others. We provide full training and support.
You’ll support clients with daily living — from personal care, medication, and meals to companionship, hobbies, and helping them stay independent.
We offer comprehensive training, starting with a full induction and practical skills training. Our continuous professional development includes advanced dementia training and opportunities for career progression, ensuring our Care Professionals are always growing and improving.
We offer flexible shifts to fit your lifestyle, including full-time, part-time, evenings, and weekends.
Our Care Professionals earn a basic weekday rate of £15.25 per hour from day one, with enhanced pay for weekends and live-in roles. We also offer:

- Paid mileage between visits

A driving licence and access to a car are preferred, as most roles involve travelling between clients. In some areas, walking or cycling rounds may be possible.
Yes. Many of our team move into senior roles such as Senior Care Professional, Care Supervisor, or even management positions.
