Supporting the communities in and around Trowbridge, Bradford-on-Avon, Melksham, Westbury and Frome

Our Team

Jamie
Founder / Managing Director
Jamie founded Otter Homecare alongside his wife, Bowling. His passion for care grew from his personal experience as the main carer for his father, who suffered a stroke. Caring for his dad — and coordinating teams of support carers around him — showed Jamie first-hand the profound difference that good, person-centred care can make to someone's life. Before starting Otter Homecare, Jamie co-founded food and beverage companies in Thailand, where he lived throughout his twenties and thirties. That entrepreneurial background gives him a drive to do things differently — particularly when it comes to using technology and innovation to improve outcomes for clients and make life easier for Care Professionals. Jamie is currently undertaking a Level 5 Diploma in Health and Social Care, and lives locally in Bradford-on-Avon with his family. He is hands-on in the business and deeply committed to building a care company that families — including his own — can truly trust.

Cherie
Registered Manager
Cherie has over a decade of experience in the care sector, having worked in various roles from Care Support Worker to Registered Manager. She is passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care and has extensive knowledge in managing compliance, quality assurance, and developing members of her teams. Prior to joining Otter Homecare, Cherie worked in management positions of other care companies where she oversaw regulatory compliance, led internal audits, and developed bespoke care packages for clients. With expertise in both domiciliary and residential care settings, Cherie excels in creating supportive environments for both staff and clients. Cherie is committed to fostering a culture of compassion, professionalism, and continuous improvement at Otter Homecare, ensuring that every client receives the care and support they need to live independently and with dignity.

Maria
Care Coordinator
Maria brings over 13 years of experience in health and social care, covering hands-on care, coordination, and administration. She has worked in hospices, hospitals, and home care settings, supporting both clients and clinical teams. Her calm, organised approach helps ensure that care plans, referrals, and family communications are managed with professionalism and compassion. Maria is passionate about helping people feel heard, supported, and safe.

Anna
Care Supervisor
Anna worked in an assisted living home for adults with special needs, where she was the lead support worker for one of the clients. She came into care because of the impact she can have on someone's life — from meaningful conversations and moments of laughter, to being there to reassure someone when they're not having the best day or feeling worried about something. Making people feel safe and happy, and knowing she can help make their days better, is the most rewarding part of what she does.

Abbey
Trainer
Abbey is an experienced care professional with a strong background in domiciliary care and adult social care training. With over five years of experience in care, she has developed expertise in safeguarding, medication administration, manual handling, and care planning. As Otter Homecare’s Home Care Trainer, Abbey is responsible for ensuring that all new Care Professionals receive high-quality training, enabling them to provide compassionate, person-centred care. She is passionate about supporting carers in their development and ensuring they feel confident in their roles. Abbey brings a friendly and structured approach to training, helping to uphold Otter Homecare’s high standards of care and professionalism.
