On Thursday we hosted our second Otter Café at Staverton Village Hall in Trowbridge, Wiltshire – and what a wonderful afternoon it was!

The Otter Café is all about bringing people together, helping our clients get out, enjoy good company, and feel part of a warm, supportive community. After the success of our first event, it was brilliant to see even more smiles, conversations, and connections this time around.

With a Halloween twist, the hall was filled with laughter, games, and delicious treats. One of the highlights was the homemade Otter cupcakes and flapjacks baked by our talented Care Professional Codi – a big hit with everyone!

Our eight clients were joined by a fantastic group of Otter Homecare Care Professionals, many of whom volunteered their time to support the event. Together, we enjoyed word searches, plenty of chat over tea and cake, and the crowd favourite – the “guess what’s in the box” game.

As always, transport was provided so clients could simply relax and enjoy the day, knowing they would be picked up, looked after, and taken home afterwards.

The Otter Café is more than an event – it’s about creating joy, building friendships, and showing that care goes far beyond the everyday. We’re so proud of how this community space is growing, and we can’t wait to plan the next one.
