This month, we were delighted to host our very first Otter Café at Staverton Village Hall – and what a special day it turned out to be.

The idea behind the Otter Café is simple: to create a warm, welcoming space where our clients, their families, and our local community can come together to share conversation, enjoy refreshments, and make meaningful connections.

A Warm Welcome

From the very beginning, the atmosphere was full of kindness. Guests were greeted at the door by our Otter Homecare team and soon settled in with a hot drink and a slice of cake. Smiles, handshakes, and laughter filled the room, reminding us all just how powerful simple human connection can be.

Friendship, Fun and Laughter

Inside, the tables were alive with conversation, games, and plenty of tea and biscuits. There was a real mix of generations – from toddlers to older adults – all sharing the space together. One of the highlights was the joy and laughter that naturally bubbled up throughout the afternoon.

It was wonderful to see people who might otherwise feel isolated enjoying themselves in such a relaxed and friendly environment.

The Otter Spirit

Of course, no Otter Café would be complete without our friendly otter mascot making an appearance! It was a lovely reminder of the values at the heart of Otter Homecare – being caring, playful, adaptable, and protective.

Looking Ahead

We are so proud of this first step and can’t wait to host more Otter Cafés in the future.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the first Otter Café so memorable.

👉 Keep an eye on our website and social media for updates on the next Otter Café – we’d love to see you there!
