Dementia care, built around the person
A dementia diagnosis can feel overwhelming — for the person living with it and for everyone around them. With the right support, many people can carry on living well, safely and happily in the home they know and love. That's what we're here for.

Care that helps someone stay themselves
For someone living with dementia, familiar surroundings — the same rooms, routines, photographs and comforts — can bring real calm. Our job is to make staying at home possible, gently and safely, with a small, consistent team of familiar faces rather than a rota of strangers.
Our Care Professionals are trained in the patient, practical things that help someone feel settled, respected and in control: keeping to routines, communicating calmly, encouraging food and fluids, and finding the moments of connection that make a day better. We build the care around the whole person — their history, their likes, the things that still light them up.
Training that comes from lived experience
We don't just tick a dementia-training box. Our team completed a full day of dementia training co-produced with Alzheimer's Support, a local Wiltshire charity, through their EDUCATE programme — which means the learning comes directly from people who actually live with dementia.
It covered understanding behaviour, encouraging nutrition, and communication, and it gave our whole team a shared language for dementia care.
We're also proud supporters of Beyond Dementia Wiltshire, joining local efforts like Denim for Dementia and the Memory Walk — because good dementia care extends beyond the front door, into the community.
More providers should be doing this.
The small, true things
A few anonymised moments from our dementia care.

A morning with the horses
A lady who'd once helped at a local stable, taken to stroke the horses and enjoy coffee and cake. Calm and happy all morning.
The pet-shop visit
A lady who loves animals, taken to see the guinea pigs within her usual evening visit. Brighter and more trusting ever since.
His music, his identity
A gentleman who once played in a folk group; our team help him play his organ and old CDs, and he sings along.
A little extra comfort
Every dementia client can receive a comforting Otter soft toy — a friendly, dementia-friendly companion that also quietly carries our emergency number, so help is never far away.

You're never facing it alone
Dementia affects everyone around the person, not only the individual.
We keep families close and informed, and offer honest, jargon-free guidance every step of the way. We share what we've learned from supporting other families living with dementia — and where someone else could help, whether a local group, a charity or a specialist, we'll gladly point you their way or help make the introduction. As things change we adapt the care, so you always know what's happening, and why.
